Toasts with cream cheese

Clementine from the bistro at work - free

Almonds from home

Lots of water

I don't know if you have noticed, but I have reduced my Diet Coke intake by about 75%. Water helps. I had massive headaches for the first week, but it's getting better now.
Squash soup, cheese manicotti, bread, salad, fruit, lemonade
$6 from the bistro

This soup was one of the best thing I've had in a long time, full of wintery spices and extra-velvety.
Rice Krispy square from the bistro - free

Crackers and margarine

In honor of Twitter friend Le Nutritionniste, who keeps getting crappy promo documents from Becel. If you can read French, I highly recommend his blog !
Salad, broccoli turnovers, Orangina

Chocolate gaufrettes

These make me feel like I am a kid again.

Scrambled eggs, bacon, toast

Chicken and noodle soup

A.K.A. the only thing I could eat and not feel sick after crying and mourning my cat all afternoon. :(
Fortunatly, Patrick and Nikki had a bunch on neighbours over for a get together. We watched a documentary about Whippet cookies. These cookies used to be manufactured where we all live now. It was a lot of fun and made me forget about my cat for a while.

Croissant

Chips, dip, sour cream and a beer

Leftover pizza

Bread, St-André cheese, pepper jelly

Eggs and toast

Chocolate gauffrettes

So many carbs. And beer in the afternoon? I think I was trying to self medicate. My cat passed away and it was a very, very hard day. I blogged about it on my French blog, for those who can read it.

Toast and Clamato at home

I love tomato-based drinks in the morning.
Banana and Nibs candy from the bistro - free

Burrito, rice salad, melon, lemonade

In the afternoon, we got an email telling us a naughty snack was awaiting us in the bistro as part of an AIDS awarness project.

Here I am enjoying a frosted treat!

Martin was coming over so I stopped at the market for a few goodies.
Pâté, bread (and a croissant for Saturday morning) from Première Moisson - $14.25

Dinner

This has been a rough week. My cat has been sick for a long time and Saturday was the date she was going to the vet to be sent to kitty heaven. I've been dealing with this as best as I can, but it's really hard. How do you say goodbye to a pet you've lived with for 14 years? The only way I could think of was to spoil her rotten. So I gave her foie gras pâté and an oyster for dinner.

We ended the feast with a bit of whisky (and a few tears) to toast my beloved cat
