The crudité plate at Cartet is expensive for chopped up veggies, but the variety makes it a good deal. This one had red and green pepper strips, carrot slices, yellow beet slices, cucumber slices, broccoli and cauliflower florets, celery sticks and a yogourt and feta dip.

This is going to be a short one.

Then for dinner, I had the same thing as last night: chicken, carrots, mashed potatoes.

I should note that I went to Ikea and managed to resist the hot-dogs and delicious cinnamon rolls. This is known as a miracle and is the first step towards me becoming a saint.

Hejdå!

Food log: Saturday, October 31

It was raining all day, so I spent the day cleaning out the hall closet and cooking. I was supposed to go out to Spasm for the Halloween party tonight, but I was too tired to go out again and maybe just a little to comfortable at home.

For Halloween, the bistro team went all out with a ghoulish menu: a scary punch, "bat wings", "worm salad", bones and other "scary" food items.

In the afternoon, Gary Vaynerchuck was coming over to give a lecture so François set up a candy bar in the Green Room, where my desk is. We quickly spotted him.
"Don't come down until I am gone, you candy freaks!"

Jessica and I were not feeling the moussaka lunch, so we headed out to our favorite greasy spoon. It's on De la Commune and it's called "Restaurant Restaurant" (or so the sign says). The menu says otherwise, as many of the items are called Ritz this and Ritz that. Pretty funny if you consider what the place looks like.

I was munching while waiting for the grocery order to come in. But by the time it did, I was full of salt and potatoes and not hungry for dinner. Bleh.

The grocery order was $136 with tip.
