Deviled egg (or two)
Making devileded eggs and eating a few!
I was preparing food for the pot luck I was having at my house that night.
Who can resist eating deviled eggs? Not I my friends. Not I.

Then later, the pot luck started. I was too busy playing hostess to take pictures of every dish, but let's just say that my friends delivered a feast!

Many delicious dishes are missing, such as Heather and Gab's crudités with dill dip and a key lime pie; Annie's pear and almond tart; Josiane and Claude's beet and corn salad and proscuitto-wrapped dattes; and Ellen's yummy cheese with baguette.

Oh also: many, many bottles of wine. Hic! A jolly good time was had by all.

Food log: Wednesday, November 4

November 4 is Sid Lee Day at the office. That means we are not allowed to work but we can't stay home. So we get a full day of fun activities like chair massage, comedy dance class, yoga, pilates, boxing class, a poker tournament, a Rock Band/DJ Hero game room, painting and drawing classes, street hockey and at the end of the day, a huge party.

Of all days to forget my camera, I chose this one.

So because I can't dissapoint my readers, I have made a composite of images that kind of represent what the day looked like. It's pretty accurate.

Miso-maple salmon with broccoli and rice noodles
I marinated the salmon in a mixture of white miso, soy sauce, lime juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper. It marinated all day. Then I just put in in a Pyrex dish and baked it for 25 minutes at 400 (it was thick and I like my salmon well done). I made a little more fresh marinade to use as a sauce. The salmon becomes very savory and the thinner ends are all sweet and caramely. Light, easy, tasty. Awesome.
