Diet Coke from the machine ($1.25) and chocolate roll from Cartet ($2.25)
We have Diet Coke for fifty cents at work, but it’s not nearly cold enough so I buy it from the more expensive vending machine. I don’t drink coffee, so this often is my morning boost. I know it’s bad for me. Shut up.
Lunch at the bistro - $6
My employer, Sid Lee, offers delicious meals prepared on the spot at its bistro, for the low price of $6.
Sid Lee employees often gain weight in the first few months of their employment. Sid Lee employees are a happy bunch.
Gummy bears (2) from the bistro - free
The bistro also has treats. It’s mainly fruit, but sometimes it’s Mr. Freeze freezies or candy. I can’t believe I ate only two. Gummy bears are the shizzle’s nizzle, yo!
Cheese and blue corn chips – from groceries I had
A quick snack while I cooked dinner after going to do laps at the pool.
Tuna casserole, made from scratch – from groceries I had
A cheap and hearty dish that freezes well and is perfect for weekday lunches.
