We had a lovely cocktail hour at Sid Lee. We ate, we drank and we watched curling. The food was appropriatly inspired by sport bar food.

Later, I met up with Patrick and Éric for dinner at Les Cons Servent. I really liked that restaurant: it's cozy and original and the portions were the perfect size considering I had more than a few nibbles at happy hour.

For dinner, I made sautéed tofu in miso-ginger sauce. I always improvise the sauce but basically, it's a mix of white miso, pepper sauce, maple syrup, mirin, rice vinegar and fresh ginger. You dredge the tofu in rice flour (it prevents it from becoming dry and hard) and sautée it in a tiny bit of oil, then add the sauce and a little bit of water.

Don't let it stand in the pan - just heat it through. Otherwise, it'll bake and stick to the pan.
