Cheese sandwich
Grilled cheese, chips, chocolate milk from Pasta Café - $6.27
Only after finishing this meal did I realize that I pretty much had the same thing for breakfast.
Friday came and with that the first evening of my vacation. I'm off for two weeks! To celebrate, I went out for drinks and some noshing with Binzer and Nathalie at Dominion Square Tavern.
Mimosa egg
Canadian Rye Old Fashioned
Fritters
Aberlour Sour
Sip of Binzer's Tom Collins
Canuck
Strip loin steak with cheesy mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked green beans
Sooooooooo good!
Bread
Fries from Binzer's plate
Drinks and dinner at Dominion Square Tavern was $74.75 including tip

Friday, May 7, 2010
foof log: Thursday, May 6
foof log: Wednesday, May 5
Toasts with cream cheese, Perrier
Diet Coke - $1.25 (no pic)
Egg and green beans salad, grapefruit
Chips - $1.25
Apple snack cake from the bistro - free
2 bottles of wine - $32 at the SAQ (no pic)
For dinner, I joined my friends Marc and Roxanne to celebrate Marc's b-day. We went to Lélé da Cuca, a Brasilian-Mexican hole-in-the-wall restaurant. It was empty, so we got great service. The food was ok, but nothing to write home about.
Wine
Gaspacho
Acarajé
This is a fried dough stufed with a peanut and almond paste, then shrimp. It was a bit too cake-like for my taste.
Mole chicken, rice, salad (did not eat it), black beans
Did not taste like much, but the chicken was tender and juicy. The bean were the highlight of that plate. The salad was just a sad affair. Then the owner brought us free pineapple and orange drinks. Delicious, but kind of random during dinner.
Fruity drink
I skipped dessert and only had a few bites of the cake the owner brought over for Marc.
Sparkly black forrest cake
Dinner for 2 (invited Marc, he was de birthday boy!) at Lélé da Cuca was $62
