It was raining all day, so I spent the day cleaning out the hall closet and cooking. I was supposed to go out to Spasm for the Halloween party tonight, but I was too tired to go out again and maybe just a little to comfortable at home.
Toast and orange water at home
Tuna sandwich
Ham sandwich
Tomato juice
Jamie Oliver's chicken roasted in milk, roasted carrots, mashed potatoes

Toast and orange splash water
Diet Coke (1.25), apple from the bistro (free)
For Halloween, the bistro team went all out with a ghoulish menu: a scary punch, "bat wings", "worm salad", bones and other "scary" food items.
Bean soup, chicken wings, remoulade, bone marrow, pumpkin pie, punch - $6
In the afternoon, Gary Vaynerchuck was coming over to give a lecture so François set up a candy bar in the Green Room, where my desk is. We quickly spotted him.
Let's just say we all indulged.
Mini Kit-Kat
Rockets
Wunderbar
Coffee Crisp
(The only coffee-flavored thing I eat)
Nibs
Crispy Crunch
Caramel treat
Chips and dip at home
Beer at home
Macaroni and more Halloween candy at home
In the evening, I went to Spasm at Club Soda for Total Crap
Smirnoff Ice at Club Soda - $8 including tip
Another Smirnoff Ice at Club Soda - $8 including tip
If you've never been to a found footage event like Total Crap, you don't know what you are missing. It's pure genius!

Egg sandwich and orange juice - $7.10
Jessica and I were not feeling the moussaka lunch, so we headed out to our favorite greasy spoon. It's on De la Commune and it's called "Restaurant Restaurant" (or so the sign says). The menu says otherwise, as many of the items are called Ritz this and Ritz that. Pretty funny if you consider what the place looks like.
The grill is also one of the most ancient (but well kept!) piece of kitchen equipment I have seen in a fast-food restaurant.
I had poutine, a hot-dog and an orange Crush - $6.59
Tea from the bistro - free
Diet Coke - $1.25
(no pic)
Banana from the bistro - free
Chips, dip, gin & tonic
I was munching while waiting for the grocery order to come in. But by the time it did, I was full of salt and potatoes and not hungry for dinner. Bleh.
The grocery order was $136 with tip.

OMG it's a sale!
At work, one of my accounts is the SAQ so I always make notes of upcoming sales in my agenda. And now, it's time to check if my bar is ready for Halloween and the upcoming Holiday seasons, because when you buy two bottles or more at the SAQ this weekend, you'll get 15% off. I know I will go grab a few bottles and take advantage of the sale. I am out of plain vodka and may also buy some Versinthe absinthe. I even shined my special spoon! The ritual is so pretty. You can see it in the movie Dracula.
If you want to try absinthe for the first time, you should check out Sarah B, the inviting bar at the newly renovated Intercontinental Hotel on Saint-Antoine in Montreal. The bar is well-designed and they have many delicious cocktails to drink and yummy nibbles to devour.
But the main attraction is the collection of absinthe fountains. Neat!
