Sorry for the lack of bons mots this week, but it's been crazy.
Fake cheese toasts and orange juice
Morning chips and banana from the bistro (free)
Diet Coke from the vending machine ($1.25)
Cheeseburger, poutine and Orange Crush from McGill hot-dog ($7 including tip)
The joint has been revamped by the new owner, and the food is even better! I am so glad they kept to their greasy spoon origins. Old Montreal has enough chi-chi burger joints as it is.
All that junk food cut my appetite for dinner, so I only had apéro at home.
Dom Brial Muscat de Rivesaltes
Honey-like, sweet and elegant, like what you wish your first kiss had been like.
Dattes stuffed with Fourme d'Ambert
A perfect pairing with the muscat.
Money spent on food today: $7
