Waffles and juice

Vero's boyfriend brought back candy from Japan and she brought two Hello Kitty bags full of goodies to work for me! Mochi balls, Wasabi Kit Kat, Green tea Kit Kat, macha caramels... all in wonderful wrappings.







My favorite was the mochi balls, soft and tender and just slightly sweet They are an aquirred taste but I can't get enough.
Lunch was a mexican fiesta. Olé!
Nachos, tacos, salad, pineapple, melon from the bistro - free (it's my birthday so I didn't have to pay!)

After work, I stopped at the SAQ and bakery ($32.40) before heading home for my birthday party, a Jeopardy-themed wine and cheese to-do with some of my friends. We ate cheese, charcuterie, crudités, chips, dnrak bubbly, wine, Kiri and vodka and ate an awesome clue-colored cake made by Jessica.

The portion was so big, I saved some for later (wishful thinking, I hope I get to eat it before the fridge clean-up)

I didn't have dinner yet and it's almost 9pm. It ain't happening. I mean did you see the size of that lunch and cheese snack? Mamma, she ain't hungry no mo'.

Véro took me to Le Grillon bar-salon for my b-day. Thanks Véro!


The chef was off, but the manager knows his way around a kitchen and we had a great meal. This place is very cool, so relaxed and welcoming. Plus, it's right next to Papineau metro station on the green line, so it makes for an easy destination to go have a drink with friends after work, no mattter where your work actualy is in the city. And I loooooove that they kept the old-school sign.





I wish we had a bar like that near my house in Hochelaga! There are a few cool spaces available near Ontario and Viau. And with all the new condos getting built and more than 300 people living at the Biscuiterie (my building), the customer base is there. Hint hint, bar owners!
